TIA is willingly emerging as a major commercial entity while keeping itself to the role of infrastructure provider for airlines and other clients. CAAN is considering to raise aeronautical charges which still remain unchanged since 1992 despite the globally acknowledged principle that operating should bear full and fair share of the cost of providing airport services and facilities. In this regard, CAAN feels that the deliberations and consultation with international air carriers have become necessary.
